Giraffes ( Topic 5 )

Giraffes are my last and 5th topic. They are the worlds tallest mammals. ABout 14-19 ft high.Their long bodies help them eat leaves and buds on really tall plants. They eat most of the time and walk around and look for food. A tongue of a giraffe is 21in. They reside on the african savanna so their long necks make it easier to look out for predators. Giraffes only drink water a few times a week because of their long necks. Baby Giraffes can walk after 30min of being alive and run by 10 hours. They run about only about 35 miles an hour. The darker spots they have, the older they are. I picked this because my favorite animal print is giraffe and they are cute.

Golden Poisonous Dart Frogs ( Topic 4)

My fourth topic is about the Golden Poisonous Dart Frog. They are one of the largest species of frogs. They are about 1 inch long (paper clip length) and usually live in rainforests in the pacific coast . They can come in bright yellow, orange and pale green. They change color to warn off predators. They live off of flies, crickets, ants, termites, and beetles. They are considered  one of the most toxic animals on earth. It has enough venom to kill 10 grown men and is used as a powerful painkiller. They can live up to 10 years. I picked this because I think these frogs are really unique and interesting to learn about. They are also really pretty and one of my favorite species.

Australian Green Tree Frog (Topic 3)

My third topic is about australian green tree frogs. The green tree frog is usually a beautiful bright green but may fade to a dark khaki-green depending on its mood. Some have white spots. It can reach up to 12in, but men are smaller. They live in the north east of Australia. They are attracted to cool, damp places. These frogs eat  spiders, crickets lizards, other frogs and cockroaches and small mice. The green tree frogs can climb by clinging with their belly skin and the pads on their toes. When they are captured they make this weird high sound that usually scares the predator.  I chose it because I think they are adorable, interesting, and are on of my favorite species.

They can’t put their heads in their shells. The males are usually bigger than the females. Green sea turtles can grow up to about 5ft and weigh up to 700 lb. They live in tropical climates with fresh salt water and beaches. There are actually two types of these turtles. The Atlantic (found in North America, Europe, ect.). Then the Eastern Pacific ( in Chile, Alaska, etc.) They both live on grasses and algae.
